Taloncrawler's Earthshattering Smite stays in one place, where as Demonic Stance will go wherever you go, so if a room is spread out quite a bit it can have higher ability gains if you have run out of mana and they aren't inside the radius of Earthshattering Smite already. Where as Demon Lord's Demonic Stance hits every turn lasts for 10 turns, making it so you could rush a boss down to broken state faster, combined with the 20% damage debuff for being broken and Demon Lord's 20% more physical attack damage + Flame aura and any other relics that contribute to making buffs last longer or stack twice and the ones that also effect shields.ĭemon Lord's ability to zip around the map with massive mobility using his second ability also played a big factor into my final decision as well as his early game to mid game dominance. Since Taloncrawler is a slow burner breaks shields a lot slower then the Demon Lord does, Taloncrawler's Earthshattering Smite attack hits every other turn and lasts for 6 turns.

I did originally have TalonCrawler at the Number 1 in the S tier since that crab is incredibly strong, it was just on some of the runs where I didn't manage to pick up mana regen relics or -20% cost relics or 20% chance to cast abilities for free (Philosophers Stone) I struggled a tiny bit after the initial wave of mana and elixirs. I think you might be referring to TalonCrawler vs Demon Lord? Fighting for the position of Number 1? Might also be that my play style might not notice the range of the ability as much since I tend to shy away from Pistols/Rifles and stick mainly to up close and personal weapons. I outlined only the abilities I felt had unfair MP costs, ranges and area of effects and the ones that had a great ability as well as great MP costs, area of effect and ranges. I didn't outline the MP costs and range of most of the abilities, since I was trying to keep the video fairly short and punchy.
